PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) is the most widely used fluoropolymer and is also known by the brand name "Teflon." It is a material with properties such as non-stickiness, low friction, chemical resistance, weather resistance, excellent electrical characteristics, and high heat resistance (maximum operating temperature of 260°C). In response to trends in PFAS regulation, we are advancing the development of coatings using alternatives such as silicone and other engineering plastics as substitutes for PTFE (fluoropolymer). By appropriately adopting these alternatives according to their applications, it is expected that desirable functions can be achieved.
